No one deserves a bad beat, but if you bet against these NBA trends, you’re asking for it.

Unders in games officiated by Marc Davis: Seventy-two percent (25 of 41) of games with Davis on the whistle have stayed under the total, by far the biggest margin of any NBA ref.

In contrast, Scott Foster and Joe Crawford are the NBA refs with biggest differential in terms of overs. Games with either Foster or Crawford have gone over the total 67 percent of the time.

Overs in Toronto games: There’s no glaring stat to explain why more games (44) involving the Raptors have gone over the total than any other team.

Toronto is in the middle of the pack when it comes to most offensive and defensive categories.

They do find points at the free throw line, where the lead the league at 82 percent.

Heat on no days rest: Even mighty Dwyane Wade’s back can’t carry the Heat two days in a row. Miami is 4-12-1 ATS on the second of back-to-backs.

The Heat has two remaining back-to-backs on its schedule: Saturday, at Washington, and Wednesday, April 15 vs. Detroit.

Cavaliers on no days rest: The depth and versatility of Cleveland has paid off. The Cavs are 13-4 ATS on the second half of back-to-backs. Remaining back-to-backs for the Cavs: Friday, at Orlando, and Monday, April 13 at Indiana.

Tiger guard Zaire Taylor missed a point-blank layup with two seconds left that would have equaled a Mizzou cover. It took a pair of desperation 3-pointers in the last 23 seconds to put the Tigers in position for a cover, so it’s hard to consider this too bad of a beat …

Anyone who had San Antonio -1.5 against New Orleans Sunday.

The Spurs should have had more time to salvage what would have been a miracle cover against the Hornets.

Down seven with 20 seconds left, San Antonio hit consecutive 3-pointers to get back in the game.

The Spurs fouled Chris Paul, who anticipated the foul and went into the act of shooting to earn three free throws. The foul occurred with 10 seconds left, but the clock operator, a Hornets’ employee, let three additional seconds run off.

According to reports, Michael Finley said the clock operator told the officials of his error, but the refs said they could not review the play.

Paul made all three free throws to push the lead to four, so the three seconds probably wouldn’t have allowed San Antonio to force overtime.

But bettors wished they at least would have had the opportunity.

Anyone who had the over in Missouri-Memphis over 141.5 Thursday.

Thanks to Memphis’ rally and Missouri’s failure to run some clock, the two teams combined for 108 points in the second half, pushing the total over by 51.5 points, the most of any tournament game … Anyone who had UConn -20 against Chattanooga in the opening round. The Huskies, playing without ailing coach Jim Calhoun, held Chattanooga to 47 points en route to a 56-point victory, the biggest of the tournament so far.
