Dodgers Host Cubs for Game 4 Of NLCS
With the ALCS slanting to one side, fans have been turning to the NLCS to watch a more competitive series. Game 4 of the NLCS will take place on Wednesday at 8:08 PM ET, with the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the Chicago Cubs.
The Dodgers will send Julio Urias to the mound on Wednesday. The 20-year-old has never started a playoff game before, but pitched a couple of scoreless innings against the Washington Nationals in the NLDS, earning the win for his team. In doing so, he became the youngest pitcher in Major League history to earn a postseason victory. He’s faced the Cubs a couple of times this season, but gave up 14 hits and seven runs in 11 innings of work.
The Cubs will counter with John Lackey, who has far more playoff experience than Urias. Lackey has pitched in 24 playoff games, posting a respectable 3.22 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. That being said, he got roughed up in his first postseason start this year, giving up seven hits and three earned runs in just four innings of work against the San Francisco Giants. The 37-year-old hasn’t faced the Dodgers yet this season.
